Specialist Flow Surveys

Trueflow Surveys have undertaken many specialist flow surveys to provide information for design and improvements. Trueflow has an equipment pool of self-contained battery operated survey equipment including:
- Sewer flow loggers to log effluent depth and velocity.
- Depth logging equipment to provide levels for wet wells, rivers and reservoirs.
- Data loggers that can be configured to record equipment operations, such as pump starts and stops.
- Data loggers configured to log analogue signals such as flow rates, temperature, dose rate etc.
- Rain gauges linked to data loggers to provide precise and detailed rainfall information.
- Clamp on flow meters to record flow rates in closed pipes.
- Hand held flow meters for spot measurements in open channels streams and rivers.
Using our portable equipment we can provide calibration information for existing measurement structures or meters and record information over extended time periods. Over recent years we have carried out surveys to collect data to meet the following requirements:
- Water resources studies requiring regular stream flow measurements.
- Pumping station surveys to establish pump operating characteristics.
- Flow surveys to provide data for the design of inlet screens to WwTW's.
- Sewer flow surveys to investigate flooding problems at the inlet to a WwTW.
- Stream flow surveys to calibrate an existing structure to control abstraction and discharge.
